DESC creates an Emirate only workforce to make Dubai the safest electronic city on earth. Dubai Electronic Security Center is a government entity to safeguard electronic security in U.A.E. The organization eyes to enlarge its workforce by 50 percent by this year.
DESC works relentlessly to safeguard electronic security
The security centre spends millions of dollars monitoring and researching prospective security threats. Especially, threats and incidents that might harm governmental institutes. The Arab region intensifies on security matters as it witnessed a security attack on Saudi Arabia. As a matter of fact, Shamoon 2 targeted Saudi government agencies and companies. As a measure of tackling any unsolicited incidents, U.A.E. established the security centre in 2014.The security centre has 60 employees. Moreover, now it’s up to recruiting 30 more employees and all of them will be Emirati locals from Dubai. Amer Sharaf, director of compliance support and alliances at DESC reasoned that he and his team look for U.A.E. nationals as they believe in the national resources.
Amer Sharaf further said, “You always have to be up and ahead of the game.” On the other hand, creating an only Emirati workforce seems difficult due to the shortage of expert employees. Nevertheless, the authority is working with different educational and national institutes to overcome the problem.
