Soundcloud shutting down is a rumor that has spread over the web. Closure of 40% of SoundCloud employees accounts started the noise. Few astrologers have also speculated the possible reasons for the shutting down of SoundCloud! Eventually, sounds shouting behind the cloud were silenced after the post of Alexander Ljung.
- SoundCloud has struggled to compete against Spotify and Apple Music
- Layoffs only saved the company enough money to have runway “until Q4” — which begins in just 80 days. [Correction: 80 days, not 50 days].
And there is much more Futurama on the web. In reply, Alex Ljung posted on the Soundcloud blog site-
“SoundCloud is not going away. Not in 50 days, not in 80 days or anytime in the foreseeable future. Your music is safe.”
Cutting half of the employees along with two offices in Berlin & New York out of the company is emotional. Though it seems a big minimization of cost.
“By reducing our costs and continuing our revenue growth, we’re on our path to profitability and in control of SoundCloud’s independent future.”
To prevent the noise around the globe another sound just came up in words
I’m working on the SoundCloud thing
