This is like a dream coming true for every “Star Wars” fan. Walt Disney World is planning to open the world’s first immersive Star Wars hotel in 2019. It’s no ordinary hotel; each and every guest here will experience their unique story while staying at the hotel, which will “touch every single minute” of their day.
According to Bob Chapek, Disney’s resort chairman, once you are in the hotel, you will dress in “Star Wars” clothing and explore a spaceship (windows will only show space). The hotel is a part of Disney World’s upcoming “Galaxy’s Edge” area, where you can have some exciting “Star Wars” experience. For instance, you can run into Chewbacca to get recruited for a mission, which will lead you to the Millennium Falcon ride. You could earn extra credits based on your team’s performance across various tasks. Also, you can get those bounty hunters chasing you across the park if you’re really, really bad.
The whole concept is just like “Westworld” with “Star Wars” theme, excluding the murder and sexy stuff.
Although both Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California are getting the “Galaxy’s Edge” areas, Orlando is the only one to get the immersive hotel. So, if you want to have the experience, no need to fly to the galaxy far far away. Just save money for the hotel and buy a plane ticket to Orlando.
