Lyft is known to make partnerships with other companies to provide better service to its customers and now they made another partnership that makes a lot of sense. Amtrak has an app and now users of this app can request a Lyft directly from it. Lyft said in a statement that rides to and from transit stations are one of its most popular routes and account for a quarter of Chicago ride requests alone. In 46 states Amtrak is available and 97 percent of Amtrak riders can use Lyft.
Before this recent brand partnership, the company just launched its Minnie Vans for guest transport throughout Disney World. A partnership was also struck with the fast food giant Taco Bell. These brand partnerships are smart moves, building on increasing momentum that has pushed the company past the one million rides per day mark and nudged its growth beyond that of Uber’s.
From today anyone can use Lyft via Amtrak’s app. The access is now available. “AMTRAKLYFT” this code can be used by first timers to get $5 off.
So what do you think about this partnership? Will it be helpful and do you think Uber should also follow Lyft’s example? Let us know with your comments below.
