According to safety experts report, on average every year about 37 children die because of the heat in a locked vehicle. This kind of incident is very rare but sometimes it happens for lack of our concern. However, in order to prevent this kind of tragedies in the future, Nissan the auto giant has created a new feature which the company said will come with its next year’s “Nissan Pathfinder” car.
Well, the feature has an incredible sensor which has the ability to detect whether the driver has opened the rear doors of the car or not. And again after parking, if the driver forgets to check out these back doors then the horn will automatically beep several times to remind the driver to check the back doors before stepping up a few yards. Besides that, there will be an alert on the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel which will also remind the driver before leaving the car.
Regarding the new feature the creator Elsa Foley, an industrial engineer at Nissan said that “By drawing your attention back to the vehicle, once you’ve walked away, you are more likely to recheck the back seat than with a visual alert alone.”
This is the first time that a Nissan car is coming with this sort of feature, one can hope that this catches on and all the vehicles start to have them soon.
