The Chinese government is closely investigating into the censored contents uploaded on WeChat, the country’s most popular social network with over a billion users! China’s latest censorship laws have initiated the crackdown upon WeChat, Weibo, and Baidu by Cyberspace Administration.
The Cyberspace Administration told The Wall Street Journal,
Cyberspace Administration departments will earnestly implement the cybersecurity law and related regulations, further increase efforts to enforce legal supervision over internet content, and investigate illegal activity on the internet according to law.
Their findings had not only revealed terror but also rumors and pornography on the Chinese social networks. However, it seems the officials are still indecisive about their imposed regulations to maintain censorship.
VPN access blocked in China
They are the same officials that once denied about censoring the internet and blocking all their VPN accesses. On the contrary, the opposite condition is currently prevailing in China.
China’s regulations for suppressing the spread of censored contents will further assist officials to gain complete dominance over communication; hence, the researchers and new visitors to China are likely to face troublesome consequences without proper internet connection.
