Google just unveiled a new feature yesterday for its Google Search app for iOS. From now on, while you’re on a web page using the iOS version, you will find relevant content based on something you’re currently looking at.
The Google Search app is already helping you find answers to your questions, search what intrigues you, and scroll through a pile of stories you may find important. The more you search, the more knowledge it will gain on your favorite topics to read.
With this latest feature, you will get more excuse to stay on this app a bit longer. Now, the Google Search app will search related topic with suggested articles, rather than using your mobile web browser.
While you’re using the app, you can reveal a “People also view” window when you’re scrolled to the end of an article by swiping back up. Swipe left and you’ll reveal more articles related to your previous article, or keep it hidden to read what you’re reading. However, if you choose to read another app from that list, just tap the link and you can access it without leaving the app.
If you use Google Search for in-depth reading, instead of just finding the answers to quick queries, this update is for you. It will enable you to discover things without typing a keyword. Although this new feature is initially launching only in the U.S., it will soon be landing in other markets and languages.
