Blue Planet was the nature documentary created by BBC back in 2001. The sequel Blue planet II is coming this month on air. The documentary is designed to capture the underwater creatures and their life beneath the sea unknown to the species above ground. The prequel won a number of awards in music and cinematography sections. Hans Zimmer and Radiohead, two big names, collaborated to create the background music for Blue Planet 2 renamed Ocean Bloom!
Sound of Blue
Ocean Bloom is a new face to Radiohead‘s original track Bloom. This track was part of Radiohead’s album The King of Limbs. Thom Yorke, the frontman of the band, illustrated the inspiration came from The Blue Planet series.“I found myself dreaming of these creatures quite a lot.”
Hans Zimmer put his spell on the track along Radiohead with a flow slowly progressing like the waves in the deep sea.
“I was trying to be respectful. If somebody hands you somebody else’s work, there’s responsibility and respect that comes with it.”
