When Father replaced his own baby (Windows Phones) for an outsider, who are you to question? Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore is Vice President and head of design and software products for Windows. His recent tweets revealed the discontinuity for windows phones.
We have tried VERY HARD to incent app devs. Paid money.. wrote apps 4 them.. but volume of users is too low for most companies to invest. ☹️ https://t.co/ePsySxR3LB

Makes sense as a performer craves good crowds more than anything.
Right now I am using the most popular OS around the globe for my PC called Windows. Taking advantage of this familiar OS to put into smartphones might be the idea which appears to have failed!
“There wasn’t a wide range of devices running Windows 10 Mobile, so it wasn’t attractive to retailers or operators, And from a consumer perspective, the operating system didn’t provide as good an experience as Android or iOS.,” said IDC’s Francisco Jeronimo.
In reply to existing users of windows phone, Mr. Belfiore said
“Of course we’ll continue to support the platform.. bug fixes, security updates, etc. But building new features/hw(Hardware) aren’t the focus.” with a worried face.
That gives relief to light users like my uncle using the smartphone like a phone.
Features of Future
The future of Windows 10 mobile seems pretty blurred. Instead, Microsoft announced a new version of Windows 10 codenamed Andromeda aka Windows Core OS that works cross-platform, on any device type or architecture.
This device independence means you don’t need a windows phone anymore to run the OS.
This Windows Core OS is not an update to existing Windows 10 as suggested. Rethink sticking with windows, as the creator himself has switched to the rival team.
