You are required to use Bits if you want to tip Twitch streamer, your favorite video game-centric streaming service. This cheering service was added with a hope that you would spend some money on it. And the great news is you can now use PayPal to subscribe to streams or fund your Bits account.
Selecting PayPal as a payment method
Purchasing Bits using PayPal account is as similar as other payment methods. Simply click the “Get Bits” button above the video player and you will be able to choose PayPal as a payment method once you choose the bundle.
“PayPal may be an option when purchasing bits on iOS and Android devices if you reside in a country where Apple or Google offer PayPal for in-app purchases,” Twitch says in a blog post.
Switching to PayPal from another payment method
If you’ve used other payment methods previously but want to switch to PayPal, you can do this. Just start with your Bits purchase the way you always do. You will see a “Change payment service” option in the upper right once you reach the confirmation screen (as shown below). Clicking on that option will let you select PayPal as your payment method. No matter what your payment option is, you will still get the chargeback protection for the streamer from Bits.
