In 2019 Disney is preparing to launch its streaming service is expected to rival the likes of Netflix & HULU. To tun its streaming service Disney has snagged potentially the best person to run its newest operation. Kevin Swint (LinkedIn) worked at Apple for five years, eventually running its iTunes movies business worldwide, before managing content and launching Milk Video at Samsung. Fron now on he’ll be in charge of creating and running the company’s new Netflix competitor as the SVP and GM of Disney’s BAMTech Media company.
The service will contain newly released disney movies from 2019 and on. This will include Marvel properties, Star War movies and other current and future shows if the Fox deal becomes official then it will add more considerable additional content. Details about the price is not available but according to CEO Bob Iger it will be priced cheaper than Netflix.
