Earlier, Walmart introduced “Pickup Towers” for its online orders and now because of their growing popularity they are expanding the amount of its in-store. By the end of the year, 500 more towers will be added to Walmart stores all around the country. These automated kiosks will be available for nearly 40 percent of the country. Towers themselves will also be physically expanded, after the expansion, you will be able to get the new TV you ordered online including a few UHD Blu-rays from connected lockers. It’s probably not big enough for a 65″ OLED though.
The question that arises in the minds of customers is that if they’ll be placed in more convenient locations. Some existing towers are situated way back in the stores which is good for the stores because they can monitor it properly and provide adequate security. Its also meant to encourage you buying and picking up at the same time. But for everyone else this is terrible.
So what are your thoughts on this matter? Are you excited about it, let us know in the comment below?
