After Cambridge Analytica scandal, you may still be active on Facebook but you must be surprised to hear that, for the safety and security purpose a number of countable people like Elon Musk and many more have already deleted their Facebook profile.
WhatsApp’s co-founder Brian Acton was the first person who prevailed the trend, tweeting his followers saying that “it is time #delete Facebook.” After then, immediately the ironman Elon Musk also joined in that deleting Facebook group as well.
Not only them, but also there are some more countable persons were on the list like red-carpet regulars Will Ferrell, Cher, Rosie O’Donnell, Jim Carrey and the band Massive Attack. More importantly, on Wednesday, Chief investment officer Christopher Ailman from California State Teachers’ Retirement System confirmed that he also deleted his personal Facebook account due to the offensive and of course lack of privacy and the poor management of Facebook.
By the way, regarding of the #DeleteFacebook’s trend, CEO Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t look bothered that much as he said this week that #DeleteFacebook movement has no “meaningful impact” on the business.
