Soon you might be able to see a terrifying robot dog welcomes you at home, or roams around your office all on its own. Boston Dynamics, the company that gave us the scariest Christmas Wish in 2015 with its famous robot dogs just announced that its SpotMini robot will go on a sale next year.
Currently, there are 10 prototypes of SpotMini but the company is planning to build 100 more this year. Marc Raibert, company co-founder and the president said at the TechCrunch robotics conference “That’s a prelude to getting into a higher rate of production.”

Well, the SpotMini isn’t for the average consumer. Raibert said this robot could help construction companies and security patrols for keeping a tab on what’s happening. The robot can also be customized with software and attachments for any specific job. However, he didn’t disclose the price plans.
“Most places have something where wheels don’t get you everywhere,” Raibert said. “We think SpotMini can go to a much larger fraction of places.”
Besides, Boston Dynamic also demonstrated more of its Atlas robot’s skills, such as backflipping. Now, it’s time to see who is actually going to pay for this terrifying dog-like robots.
