The segment will feature an interview with the Google critics and European Union’s antitrust chief. Moreover, the impact of the news was in Google’s parent’s company’s share price. Alphabet’s share price plunged as “the Power of Google” is going on air.
dominance is increasing threateningly
The big 5, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, and Apple has acquired as much as 500 companies. Lately, these giant tech companies have faced scrutiny as its dominance is increasing threateningly.
Particularly, companies like Facebook and Google are becoming uncontrollably dominant in many aspects of peoples’ lives. Say, Google and Facebook collect personal data from billions of people. Using the data the companies make piles of profit. In fact, the scarier thing is, we clearly don’t even know that for what purposes these companies use users’ data.
However, Facebook and Google are facing punishment under European Union regulations. Both of these two companies had to pay large amounts of money as the penalty. In fact, as of late, Google received an allegation over violating antitrust and consumer protection laws in Missouri in the U.S.A.
