HTC launched its flagship phone U12 on Wednesday, 23rd May. The launching ceremony couldn’t surprise the fans much as the specification got leaked prior to the event.
In terms of the specifications, the phone has a lot of similarities with its previous model HTC U11. However, the new HTC U12 has a 6-inch Quad HD+ (2880*1440) Super LCD 6 display.
Moreover, the phone is water and resistance as its IP68-rated. Additionally, HTC U12 has the BoomSound like before.
The phone depends on HTC’s pressure-sensitive tech for the side buttons. Now, the side buttons are fixed in place and provide haptic feedback instead of being mechanical. In fact, it’s the most unique thing about the phone.
On the other hand, the U12 Plus is more ergonomic than the previous HTC U11 Plus. U11 Plus was bulky. In fact, U12’s camera is creating hype already.
The phone is available for pre-order starting now. The translucent Blue version of the phone starts at $800 for the 64GB version. And $850 for the 128GB version. The Ceramic Black model is also available for $800 for 64GB. You can also finance the phone for $34 per month for 24 months. Its certified to work on AT&T, T-mobile, and Verizon.
