If you are looking for a wireless CarPlay system for your car, then here is the best time to pick them up. On Friday, Pioneer partnering with JVC Kenwood have launched three new wireless CarPlay systems which are respectively called AVIC-W8400NEX, -W6400NEX, and -W4400NEX. However, these are the first in-dash receivers to support FLAC files without needing convert, and more interestingly, they’re the first devices to connect with wirelessly or over USB to both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Sounds great, isn’t it?
Well, to get an AVIC-W8400NEX model which comes with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, you need to pay $1,200 while the AVIC-W6400NEX model costs $800 and has a 6.2-inch touchscreen, and lastly with the cost of $700 only you can purchase an AVH-W4400NEX model which has a 7-inch display with resistive touch capabilities.
Interestingly, all of them support both Google Assistant and Siri and can operate wirelessly of course via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or wired through a Lightning connection, and more importantly, you can control your smart home devices through these units, including your garage door, locks, or lights.
