At WWDC 2018, Apple announced a whole bunch of awesome features of iOS 12, which will be hitting later this year. However, those are the major features. There are still some features that weren’t mentioned due to the lack of time. Here are some smaller but cool features of company’s upcoming iOS update:
Animoji will be longer
Apple did talk about new Animoji but didn’t mention that it’s getting longer. Once you update to iOS 12, you will see 30 seconds longer Animoji, instead of 10seconds one.
No one likes stuttering, or framerate drops in their smartphones while scrolling in apps, or swiping while multitasking. With iOS 12 update, you will find animations smoother and more responsive.
One of the best features of iOS 12, which must be opted into by the users. Critical Alerts lets you get important notifications, or urgent messages such as reports from the doctors even when the Do Not Disturb mode is activated.
iPad gestures will match the iPhone X
if you have an iPad, iOS 12 update will bring you home by swiping anywhere on the App Dock, which is a replication of iPhone X’s swipe. You will also be able to access Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner.
Security code autofill through SMS
It’s really annoying to switch over to messages just to copy and paste a two-factor authentication code with an app you’re signing into. With iOS 12, it will be a less hassle. When you receive those SMS messages with a one-time code, iOS 12 will now recognize them and will suggest them as an autofill option.
Auditing reused password
Your privacy and security will be stronger with iOS 12. Its pass reuse auditing feature will flag any password you’ve used with other accounts and will automatically replace them with a stronger password.
You can search password in Siri
While mentioning various improvements in Siri, Apple didn’t mention that the virtual assistant will quickly show you a specific password you ask for in iOS 12.
There are some of the cool features that Apple didn’t cover in the keynote. We will be able to know better about those features when the update releases.
