Best Blogging Platforms That Are Catered For Your Businesses!

Best Blogging Platforms That Are Catered For Your Businesses!

A blog is a type of website that is used for posting discussions and informational content on your website. Nowadays blogs are used as a marketing strategy to increase the traffic of the websites it has been posted on. Many companies and online businesses use blogs as a way to improve customer interaction on their websites.

The blogs started in the 1990s when services started to emerge where the user didn’t need to have knowledge and experience of coding to publish some content on the website. Blogs were to increase interaction between the customer and the company. Blogs were like social media content because it provided the users and the writers a chance to enhance their relations using comments and blogs.

Blogs today provide a variety of services that people can use. It provides people informational content, knowledge about different genres, latest news and stories, and updates regarding their favorite content.

Today there are more than 300 million blogs on the internet, and a vast majority of them are accessible to the public. In this article, we will help you choose the best blogging platform according to your needs.

WordPress

As we all know WordPress is the leader in content management software, it was launched in 2003 to provide its users a platform to create and maintain blogs. Now after 16 years WordPress has gained an international audience and more than 30% of all websites on the internet today are powered by WordPress.

WordPress is a content management system that lets its users create beautiful and highly customizable apps on their websites. WordPress provides you with thousands of themes that are native to WordPress and there are 3rd party themes also available. WordPress also has a library of more than 54,000 plugins that you can use to enhance the performance of your website.

The problem with WordPress is that it can be a little difficult to manage because you have to look after all the updates of the themes and plugins manually.

Blogger

Blogger is a free blogging platform service that is provided by Google. Blogger offers its services as a platform that users can use to create and manage blogs. Blogger was first released in 1999 by Pyra labs and then later in 2009 it was bought by Google and transformed into what we know blogger to be today. Blogger today only needs a person’s google account to get started. It provides a robust and secure platform for its users and it is easy to manage without knowing any technical skills.

The downside of Blogger is that there are very few options regarding the customization of the blog with regards to themes and additional plugins. Blogger also has only a few basic options as blogging tools and it can have an adverse effect when you eventually grow. Google also has a bad reputation for terminating your blogs anytime.

Medium

The medium was launched in 2012 and has grown to be a community of writers, bloggers, journalists, and experts. It provides its users with an easy to use blogging platform for writers to publish their work. Medium is like a social media platform for bloggers. You can use the existing traffic to engage your users in your blogs faster than any other platform. Medium is easy to use, and the only thing you will have to focus on will be your writing.

The downsides of the medium are that if you want to build a brand than it is almost impossible to do so on medium. You will not be able to use your domain in medium, and there are very limited features when it comes to designing your blog.
